I have installed your plugin and tried to apply your tags.

Hello.

Please deactivate all other plugins and retry.
Make sure that your editor is in text mode.

My plugin works just fine on my demo, and its running the latest version of WordPress code: http://apps.8web.gr/demos/wordpress-read-more-without-refresh-plugin/ – so the issue here, is related to your local install.
