    Hey Tushar,

Your Page ID is good, it’s likely an issue with your Access Token. It’s best not to publicly post the token you’re using on here so can you send it to me using the support form on the website?

    Many thanks,

    John

    Hey joaolra,

Could you tell me the Facebook Page ID that you’re using?

Could you also send me the Access Token that you’re using via the Support form on the website (please don’t post it here in the forum).

    Many thanks,

    John

Hi, the feed also stopped working for me too – nothing is displayed anymore (where it did work earlier today?)

Ok, I re-entered my access token (no 13 on http://smashballoon.com/custom-facebook-feed/access-token/)

I saved the plugin settings and refreshed the page and the feed works again.

I checked the auto complete field info from the Configuration – Access Token field in the plugin settings and it is the exact access token from before, so nothing has changed.

It seems something is broken with the plugin? If this is the same with the pro plugin, then we run the risk of the feed just stop working due to a plugin error that has to be manually reset each time.

Please advise a permanent solution to this (for the pro plugin) so that our clients don’t get ticked off when there is blank space on their sites due to the feed not working…..

    Thanks

    Hey UNISON123,

It sounds like a temporary connectivity issue which is then being prolonged by the caching. At the moment if the plugin checks for new posts after the caching period has expired and it isn’t able to connect to the Facebook API at that time then it sounds like it’s caching that empty response and using it until the next time it checks for new posts. This would explain why the issue is resolved when you click Save Changes on the settings page (this clears the cache).

You should be able to get around this by turning off caching (the option which says ‘Check Facebook for new posts every’). I’ll add a fallback for this in an upcoming update which should hopefully stop the issue from recurring.

Thanks for letting me know about the issue and I apologize for the inconvenience,

    John
