That is the error you get when there are no paths/File URLs entered for set download. If you edit the Download and go to the Downloadable Files/Versions section and look at the first entry, is there any File URL specified ( example here : https://imgur.com/a/kDC3VH9 ) ?

Could you please make a screenshot of the section I gave you example above? In the link you sent exactly the desired section is not in view. Or, confirm that there is a file URL present there. The text and link you entered inside the Download content will not work to download the desired files, the file URL needs to be set inside the Downloadable Files/Versions section ( please look at the example I gave in the previous answer ).

Hey Priya,
So there is the problem, you don’t have any paths defined. In the Downloadable Files/Versions section you have a button called Add file, please click it and either directly add the URL to the file you want your users to download in the File URL(s) ( if you know the URL ) or use the Upload File button ( recommended – you can either upload or browser the Media Folder ). After that save the Download and see if now it works.

I did that, but it resulted in the empty link not even appearing
OK, after I updated the plugin, it works now. Let’s hope this continues to work.

So when you go to my site, there is a popup with a lead generator with a contact form. How can I make it such that when they fill the form, they get the document/download, and I don’t have to send it to them manually?

Download Monitor does not have a pop-up option unfortunately.
You can lock downloads with email using this extension: https://www.download-monitor.com/extensions/email-lock/
Users will need to enter their email address in order to receive access to a specific download/file – however, it’s not a pop-up.
