Support » Plugin: Limit Login Attempts » "Plugin not updated in over 2 years" ???

  • I use your plugin, and yes it still seems to work just fine. But I always take pause when the WP repository flashes the warning “This plugin hasn’t been updated in over 2 years”. Just curious if this EXTREMELY valuable plugin is still being maintained to stay current with the ever evolving WP landscape? Any updates coming our way? Sure hope so. Please advise.

  • If you are going to update the plugin, could you please add a date/time to the log?

    Ta

Adding a log with the dates and times of the lockouts would be a very useful feature. I second that request.

I also second the request for adding date and time for the most recent lockout. Earlier this week my site gave its first 24-hour lockout to an IP from Amazon’s EC service, and when I reported it to their abuse they needed log excerpts. Fortunately the time of receipt of my emailed notification sufficed and they identified the user involved, but things would be more reliable if the GMT date and time of the most recent lockout appeared in the lockout log.

    Don’t beat a dead horse 🙂

Looks like this plugin is totally unsupported and is becoming a risk to use.

wp community need to look into this, i mean non update of plujgins for a long time

    Just FYI:
I got this with a new install of WP through my web hotel’s (binero.se) “OneClick Installer” yesterday. So I suppose they think it’s valuable and viable.
    (I also got WP 4.3.1, and Akismet 3.1.3 [=2015-07-06, .4=09-24])
