Plugin not showing in dashboard menu!

I just installed your plugin (which is a ‘favorite’ of mine) on a different theme I’ve never used before (MT dark). When I go to the dashboard the plugin is not listed anywhere. On other themes it displays in the menu as ‘Photo Albums’ with a popout menu with ‘album admin’ ‘upload photos’ ‘settings’, etc. but it’s not there this time. I have deactivated another image plugin (Good Old Gallery) but that didn’t help. I couldn’t find anyone else who reports this problem… please help.
