[Plugin: No Right Click Images Plugin] Doesn't work

  • Dosen’t work at all. I can still click on a pic and it opens in a browser where it can be easily copied.

If you decide to have a link for an image that opens the image in a window, the plugin can not protect you. If you want to protect your images, you will not use an image link and just insert the image directly.

When you use WordPress to insert an image you must not allow the image to be clickable, or people will be able to steal the image.

It’s true if you double click the image it will open in a separate window and the plugin has no control over it. Unless of course you disable images from opening in a separate window to begin with.
It would be nice if you’d mention that in your description.
Other than that it works fine.

It all depends how you embed the image. If you use wordpress to control the images, you lose control over the click. When I tried to capture the image click, it broke many functions that use the click or double click.

If you really want to protect your images then don’t use the wordpress media uploads.

Can this be edited to open an error message with copyright info when a user tries to right click? I know it’s stupid but my client wants this on his site for some reason.

It would be possible to have an action on the right click action, but the code is written to kill the action and it would require some rewriting. I am not sure there is a “one-liner” that will do it.
