    Hello,

At some point, the Media Attachments function simply stopped appearing on both the front and back end of our site [ https://insiders.spauldinggrp.com/ ]. It was working normally previously, but we are unsure of when it stopped working.

The site is protected, so I would need to provide access to it, but I am hoping you can point me to some way to troubleshoot the issue. All site elements are up to date, and I don’t see any error log entries or anything out of place in the Console.

Everything else seems to be working properly in relation to Sensei.

    Many thanks,

    Rob Levin

  • Hello,

I would recommend checking for a plugin conflict by temporarily disabling all other plugins, if possible. Since it was working fine previously, it means something has changed on your site in the meantime, and a plugin or theme update is the likely culprit.

    Thx.

    Hi Donna,

I have indeed done that on a dev environment, making sure everything is updated and disabling all but the Sensei app and the plugin, and it still fails to function.

I did not try turning on WordPress debug, which I will do, but otherwise I don’t see any error messages in the logs or browser consoles, and as far as I know, nothing else changed on the site.

If there’s anywhere you think I might look to see what might be happening. It appears that the plugin is simply not launching, and I’m not quite sure where to start looking for a cause.

    Thanks, Rob

    Hello,

Just updating, I found nothing displayed on Debug, and also changed the theme, as well as backdate WordPress to see if the recent update had anything to do with it, but the plugin is still not appearing.

In looking at the github archive, I can see a number of checks are made, and I suspect something is not coming back with a proper result, but I have no idea how to troubleshoot it, since nothing is being triggered as a log entry.

Also has the WPengine folks take a look from their side, and they can’t find anything out of place either.

Any help you could provide pointing me where to look would be very helpful, since everything seems to be set up properly.

    Thanks,

    Rob

    Hi Rob,

I’m not sure what might be happening here, as we haven’t had any other reports of this.

The plugin does require that the following dependencies are met:
    – PHP 5.6+
    – Sensei LMS 1.11.0+
    – WordPress 5.0+

Other than that, I don’t see anything in the code that would prevent the plugin from working.

We also don’t see this plugin in our backend.
