Support » Plugin: NextGEN Scroll Gallery » [Plugin: NextGEN Scroll Gallery] Grouping separate galleries in a slimbox window

  • Hi – I have a multiple scroll galleries included the following page – (open a case study to see gallery).

The images use the slimbox plugin to link to larger versions and everything works fine apart from one thing…

When viewing images in the slimbox window, there is no differentiation between separate galleries, all large images from ALL galleries are included.

This is the code I’m using to link to large images:
    [scrollGallery thumblink="/demo/wp-content/gallery/case-study-jubilee/hull.jpg" thumblink_target="_blank"]

Is there anything I can add so that the images are grouped correctly within the slimbox window?

  • May be you can group them in albums?

Also I think that you can try with gallery id in the short code.

Thanks for that – I’ve experimented with a few shortcode variations around the gallery id, and looked into the album idea but no success.

Interestingly, the demo page containing two galleries uses iframes for each gallery – perhaps because of the same issue.

So, what shorcode are you using right now?

This is my shortcode to insert the gallery:
    [sG_thumbsSolo id=6]

This is the shortcode to link to a larger image:
    [scrollGallery thumblink="/demo/wp-content/gallery/case-study-jubilee/hull.jpg" thumblink_target="_blank"]

I’ve tried adding a gallery id to the link shortcode, but it doesn’t seem to have any effect.

Hmm, interesting, I will test it by myself in a few minutes.

I’ve tried this and it is working fine if it is on different pages/posts, but not in one. I will check later if I can do something to help

how do you mean grouping them?
I use frames only because my host has a traffic limit. So I load the gallery with all the images from a other host with no traffic limit to reduce the traffic costs.
… So pleas donate more 😉

Thank you timdenty for your help with sG_thumbsSolo and the description code.
