• I am having a problem with the next gen scrolling gallery.

    The scenario:

Home page has a 4 image slider used from the next gen gallery (not the scrolling),
When I activate the scrolling plugin it starts looping or trying to loop resources via javascript (i think).

I use safari, and the loading count at the bottom of the screen keeps loading and loading until it crashes the page (not the program)

This goes away however when I deactivate the scrolling plugin. I am finding it slightly ironic that they are built for each other. I am not sure if there is a way to maybe keep the plugin activated (as I am using it on a different page) or a way to stop the process its trying to retrieve. I am working on a local server.

I can supply some code if thats what you need?

    Cheers

Any help would be thoroughly enjoyed.

  • Hello,
I have a similar problem, the scrollGallery is conflicting with the nextgen builtin slideshow, so that now a different page where I was using it is not loading correctly!
Any hints on how to solve this?
    Thanks a lot!

This was bugging me really badly – then reading this solved it –

Firstly revert to NextGen Scroll Gallery v 1.8.0 – versions after that seem to be unstable and cause problems

The problem with NextGen Scroll Gallery for me was that I was using a slideshow in the sidebar and it was that which was causing the problems!! As soon as I removed the sidebar galley show it worked fine again!!

Ridiculous really considering it is from the same developer – but hey – it solved the problem.

    Good Luck
