[Plugin: NextGEN Monoslideshow] No images found in .XML-file.

    Hi,
    I am getting this error ‘No images found in .XML-file.’ and I have tried everything I can think of to fix it and I even contacted the Monoslideshow author. His reply was:

    If I look at the source of that page, I see that the data file that Monoslideshow tries to load is pointed to http://susanmartell.com/_tst/index.php

    But this page doesn’t provide a data file, only the main WordPress page. I haven’t made the Monoslideshow WordPress plugin, so I don’t know how to change this. Maybe contact the author of the Monoslideshow WordPress plugin?

    I have searched everywhere for a clue but even though the topic has been brough up, there is not a solution out there….

    Could you please provide one?

    Hi Dennis,

    Just to make sure, are you using the right tag in the post?

    [monoslideshow id=x w=100% h=600 preset=xyz]

    And have you already tried to re-install the plugin?

    Hi lucascarato,

    [monoslideshow id=1 w=500 h=400 preset=Iris] is on the following page. Above it is the NextGen Gallery example.

    Also this error was there from initial installation and I have since re-installed the plugin. The only other plugin is nextgen gallery.

    Hi Dennis,

    I saw you have tested lots of plugins; couldn’t it be that they’re not 100% compatible between them?

    I was also taking a look at my xml.php, since I’m trying to find out some other thins about monoslideshow plugin, and it occured to me, what if you tried to do the following:

    1. in your WP plugin folder, rename xml.php to xml_test.php
    2. edit monoslideshow.php and replace xml.php with xml_test.php

    I don’t really know if the xml.php, which serves as base for the monoslideshow.php do generate the xml output, is referenced in any other file, but I don’t think so.

    Just a thought, honestly I haven’t tried it myself though, and have no idea if it has any sense. Another advice I can give you is: never completely trust a newbie! 🙂

    Did you get any solution to this. The normal NextGEN Gallery slideshow works a treat but .xml can not find any images using monoslideshow. Test site is as follows:

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh – Must use monoslideshow v2 NOT v1

    Sometimes the it is the simplest things.
