Is there any way to call a specific picture up in the ‘overlay viewer’ by calling a direct URL
(more or less a standalone url like the
http://www.lpcomet.com/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/nggshow.php?pid=97&width=&height=330&mode=watermark?
method ?)

What I’d like to accomplish is to make a standard imagemap, and supply a direct gallery link to ‘pull-up’ in the viewer a specific image similar to singlepic.
