[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Wishes for next NEXTGEN versions 2011

    Hello Alex!

    Thank you for great plugin! Its best! 🙂

    During use NEXTGEN Gallery I faced with need to add following features:

    1. NGG already use import folder with images and upload zip-file. Merge please this two functions for import (from server) zip (or tar.gz) file. Gallery name can to create from archive name or folder name in archive.

    2. Allow to display all images on one page of gallery, and allow to display all galleries on gallery list page.

    3. Add function about new(update) POST (not page!) generation (as draft) by user template. Pre-selecting a category of POST or simply use default category.

    It’s great easy to use this plugin for many!

    I also have a couple of proposals for further development:

    • Management of galleries
      When searching for images by keyword, you get a hitlist with ID, thumbnail, title, caption and keywords. What I miss is the information, to which gallery the image belongs as well as the possibility to change not only the keywords, but also title and caption.
    • Order of displaying images
      There are different ways of inserting selected images of a gallery in a page: [ nggtags gallery=xxx ], [ thumb id=12,3,56 ], [ singlepic id=23 w=xxx ].
      What I deeply miss is the possibility to add several order criteria link date, thumbs I have not find to sort in any way as ascending pid. More flexibility would provide interesting ways to complete for example travel reports.

    Hello Alex,

    also I propose to add ability to specify image ALT, title and tags for all images of gallery. Very often photos of some gallery highly same type.

    P.S. Really looking forward to the ability to generate POST via pattern (by short tags) directly from the gallery! This would facilitate the work of a professional photographer.
