When you say it’s not showing up, do you mean the widget is in your sidebar, but it just shows the loading graphic and none of your photos appear in the widget? Because that’s the problem I’m having, after the widget was working fine at first.
Please note that you need to activate the NextGEN widget plugin
alexrabe, I did that. Like I said, the widget was working when I installed it and then the next day, it wasn’t. It constantly shows that “loading” graphic and does nothing else. Here’s a screenshot:

I have more information that might be helpful — On my gallery page (http://www.rhondatraber.com/nggallery/page-3/slideshow/) I switched to “show as slideshow” and the loading image is showing there, too. Totally hung up. So it’s not just the widget. I don’t know what I’m missing. Thanks for any ideas you have to share.

I am good with code and so I am looking at the nggallery.php and also others.
Slideshow does not show up when added to a page or in the sidebar. I find that swfobject.js is not in the header unless I change
if ( NGGALLERY_IREXIST == true )
to:
if ( NGGALLERY_IREXIST == false )
So this tell me that “IREXIST” is false. I thinking that “IREXIST” checking for “imagerotator.swf” “imagerotator.swf” is in plugins/nextgen-gallery, plugins/nextgen-gallery/lib, and wp-content/uploads. So I think it is every where that maybe it should be?
I see in the post on this page that “you need to activate the NextGEN widget plugin.”
But I think the problem is related to fact that in the Plugins page in the WordPress admin area only shows one plugin option (NextGEN Gallery.) I do not see the option for a “NextGEN widget plugin”
So maybe this is the only problem?
