  • Hey,

First topic I haven’t been able to find anything on in the forums or elsewhere.

What is the deal with the picture tag in custom menu? I can add a picture tag as a menu item, it appears fine and directs me to “blog/?ngg_tag=tagname” which returns an error message.

Is there something I’m missing in my theme (which is custom built)?

I do not get this problem when using the nggallery tagcloud.

Any and all info would be much appreciated.

  • I research also a solution to select existing articles and pages with this menu, but I don’t know if someone have created this function/template …

By accident my only page that sort out with this function is a autogenerated page gallery, the tag seems to match the attached picture, that sound stupid, I’ve not identified where is this code ;->

I’m also surprised not to find more information anywhere on this. So I tested to figure it out. If you go into Manage the images in your nextgen gallery, you’ll see there’s a field to enter tags for each image. Once you add some tags, you then choose one of those tags in the Picture Tags field of the menus and add it to a menu. This creates a link that will pull up any posts that contain a picture that has been tagged with that word. Hope that makes sense.

Christyk, thanks for trying to figure it out. I ended up moving on long ago but will now definitely go back to see if I can get it working because it seems incredibly useful for things like portfolios and the like.
