    You can put anything you want in front of the tag in the NGG template, eg:
    Rate this ↓ image: <?php echo nggv_imageVoteForm($image->pid); ?>

    Thanks for your answer.

    if i put
    Rate this ↓ image: <?php echo nggv_imageVoteForm($image->pid); ?>
    in the gallery.php i get this result:

    Two Problems:
    It does not like the ↓.
    and it makes a line break.

    One possiblity to avoid this might be putting an image there.
    Can you also tell me how i can put an image ( there? Without a line break?

    Thank you a lot.

    You need to use the correct character for the encoding type then.
    Eg, if you are using UTF8, you can use .

    That’s just basic web dev, nothing to do with NGGV…

    WordPress converted the character. Look at the link I provided. You need to use [ampersand][hash]8595;

    now the arrow gets displayed correctly. ↓

    But there still is a line break that i would like to get rid of. Can you help me with this too?

    There is no line break. Either you’ve got a hidden whitespace character still copied from when you were trying to paste the arrow instead of using its code, or there isn’t enough space for the text to show, and it’s wrapping as it has to fill the space available.

    thanks for your quick help.

    in my galley.php i now have (without the spaces)
    Bewerte das & # 8595 Bild:<?php echo nggv_imageVoteForm($image->pid); ?>

    The &#8595 shows correctly, but the text is not in the same line as the stars.

    There should be enough space. If i put only
    Bewerte:<?php echo nggv_imageVoteForm($image->pid); ?>

    even then the text is not in the same line.

    I thought you meant a new line after the down arrow.
    The new line is something to do with the CSS for the stars. I personally know very little CSS, and got the code for the stars from a tutorial.
    You will need to get the person who CSS’ed your theme to look at it and figure it out. There are plenty of classes to hook into there.

    thanks again. I will keep working on it and when i found out how to do it i will post it here.

    i cheated a litte bit and now it works, somehow.

    See here for example:
