[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] UPDATED TO 3.1 AND NOW NEXTGEN GALLERY REFUSES TO WORK …HELP PLEASE

    I UPDATED TO VERSION 3.1 in wordpress and then updated the nextgen version 1.7 i believe …. and everything ceased to work properly.

    when i went into my web site and removed everything- then replaced it with a backup version…nothing changed – the gallery still refuses to work right –

    it shows the thumbnails but it wont allow the gallery to kick in like its supposed to…

    please help- i love this plugin – it adds such a flair to the site and have had no issues with it in the past. what am i missing ?

    also it seems when i create a separate page for the gallery it works fine – but i dont want that as a limitation….

    before on the previous version it would work if i used this code in the project header :

    [dcs_ngg gid=”1″]

    The same happened to me after the wp 3.1 upgrade – clicking gallery/album thumbs resulted in 404 errors.

    I rebuilt the permalinks (Settings –> Permalinks) which resolved it.

    Upgrade to WP 3.1 generates problems with NextGEN 1.7.4. for me as well.
    Some mass edits for thumbnails do not go through. When you look at a certain gallery on the real pages, usually photos stop showing after a few photos but can be seen separately. All these worked fine with WP 3.0.5 and NextGEN 1.7.4.

    Could this be some kind of a cacheing problem/conflict with WP 3.1? Or some other conflict with WP 3.1? Or just a problem with WP 3.1 itself?

    It’s a problem with the new version of jquery that came in 3.1. It’s breaking nextgen and a couple of other plug-ins that use the lightbox feature. Next Gen is working with ThickBox, just not pretty photo. I’ve tested it on another site and it’s good to go.

    I have just installed this into a site I’m designing and it has created holes in the gallery….so, there are two solid lines of thumbnails, 7 across the page, then 6 empty spaces where thumbnails should be (counting from L to R), then a single thumbnail, then on the next line, 5 more thumbnails…. strange?

    I’ve have exactly the same problem, both with previous versions of Nextgen and the latest release. It is still not resolved and it looks awful. What’s also strange is that all galleries aren’t affected. It seems being something random…

    I suggest you post this in a new thread since I doubt that the topic starter’s problems are related.

    Did anyone resolve their issues with Nextgen not working on the home page after upgrading? I’m having the same issue. The gallery works just fine if it’s not on the home page.
