# [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] thumbnails not working.

 * I’ve just upgraded to WordPress 2.7 and I’m using he latest release of NextGEN
   Gallery. When I upload images, no thumbnails seem to be being created. When I
   add the gallery to a page I can open the images full size but I don’t see a thumbnail:

 * I really love this plugin an I hope I can find a solution to this problem.

 * OK, the link I posted above is no loner relevant as I’m now using an older version
   of the plugin on this website. The problem however still exists and I’d like 
   to find a solution as some of the new features in the latest edition of the plugin
   look really awesome. Especially the cooliris integration.

 * Same issue here – full size opens, thumbnails don’t show. Any ideas?

 * Found the solution – my 1&1 server was running on PHP4.something while php5 was
   obviously required. More here:

 * Adding a .htaccess-file did the trick…

 * i had the same problem.
    php5 fixed it! (but php5 is not required for the nextgen-
   plugin)
 * if you dont have the oportunity to change the php version, take a look to the
   permissions. if you set the permissions to 755 it should work.

 * Hi.. i’m also having the problem after i upgraded my NextGen Gallery plugin. 
   I’m currently using WordPress 2.8.4 and version 1.3.6 of Nextgen Gallery. I’m
   also running on PHP5.2.9, but my thumbnails still don’t appear. I’m having the
   same problem as MadButterfly where if you click on the thumbnail a full size 
   image will appear but the thumbnail in my gallery is currently just showing a
   square box with a red cross in the center. Anyone has any idea what’s wrong and
   how to fix this?
