Hi, I got this error today when uploading a couple of images to the gallery.

    ID 34: A failure occurred
    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, cgiadmin@yourhostingaccount.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Does anyone knows what might be?

    Thanks in advance

Same problem here. Image gets uploaded and resized but thumbnail is not created.

    - I changed the permissions on all the related directories to 777 (gallery, gallery/galleryname, gallery/galleryname/thumbs).

    - tried the browser uploader instead of the Flash uploader

    - I tried switching to TwentyEleven

    - I tried switching off the other plugins (Gravity Forms and JJ NextGen JQuery Slider)

    all to no avail.

How about some support Photocrati-people? I donated several times when the plugin was still maintained by Alex Rabe.

    PHP 5.2.9
    MySQL 5.0.67
    WP 3.4.2
    NextGen 1.9.6

Try to have no spaces in the filenames

Thanks for you suggestion speedy45. I did not have spaces in the filenames but I found what was causing the failure of the thumbnail creation: I left the height-field empty in the Options > Thumbnails. I did that on purpose so that the width was always the same irrespective of the portrait or landscape orientation of the original. That worked up until the last update (the Photocrati one, thanks for the support guys :-(( ).

I have tried everything and I still receive the same message. I think its time for me to use another gallery, which is sad because I really liked this one. I used it for a while, so I feel that the money I donated was worth for the time I used it.

Any good suggestion for a gallery?
