[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Slideshow error when "Enable AJAX pagination" is enabled

Using WP 3.4.2 and NextGEN 1.9.6 with no NextGEN addons.
After enabling the AJAX pagination, the gallery on this page cannot enable the slideshow after you have paged to the 2nd or 3rd page of images:

Any suggestions for what I could check to eliminate that as a possibility?
