• Does nextgen gallery create a seperate page for each picture like the G4B gallery plugin does?

To me, a proper gallery should have a page for each picture and not just a link to an image that would cause you to use the back button constantly. I’m not a fan of the lightbox stuff or anything effect that causes “pop up’s”.

I’m looking for a better gallery than the G4B Gallery and am wondering if this NextGen gallery will do what I want it to.

  • Bump on this. Nextgen is truly powerful, but I have yet to find a simple thing as a seperate page for each image. This will be good for SEo, and traffic, becuase then people can link to the image itself.

It doesn’t do that yet. Not sure if it’s on the list, but you can check or suggest it here: http://code.google.com/p/nextgen-gallery/issues/list

In the Gallery Options under the ‘Gallery’ tab, there is a checkbox for ‘Show ImageBrowser’… this seems to override the Lightbox effects and displays a page for each picture. The only thing I’m trying to work out now is how to make the URL more SEO friendly.
