• Is it possible to resize images at upload, or set a maximum size of the images that are shown? Images are “squeezed” when they are shown, instead of resized at the server… or am I missing something here?

  • Images are not resized when you upload them. If you want to batch convert a lot of pictures before uploading them you can use something like irfanview.

You can convert the images in NextGen Gallery by going to Gallery – Options – Images. Then set the Resize Images width and height numbers to the maximum size you want your images to be. Then go to Gallery – Manage Gallery and click on the title of the gallery you want to work with. Check the boxes next to the images you want to resize and click on the dropdown menu above the images and select Resize images. Then click ok.

    That’s it!

Thanks a lot – it works, and the full size images can no longer be downloaded – nor do they cause any delay when showing images, as they used to… 🙂
