I believe you could actually snag the swf in their (longtail) site and use that. It doesn’t have the watermark and I don’t believe the swf is site aware.

Thanks for the tip. Does anyone know how to solve the problem with the slidshow not working with W3 Total cache with CDN active? If I disable the CDN the slideshow works. But I obviously want to use my cdn as well.

ejk82 – copied the older file from your downloaded link and replaced to nextgen-gallery plugin folder and refreshed the path in the slideshow options in my theme but the logo is still there.
waht am i doing wrong/
okay found the problem. slideshow is using file in the wp uploads folder not the plugins folder

Thanks for this. I am building my own site and was using the slideshow widget in my sidebar to display book covers. The watermarked logo popping up made the site look a lot less professional, cheap.
I’m going to keep looking for a better slideshow widget, as I am not entirely happy with imagerotator since I can’t attach urls to the pics in the show, which makes paying for it, especially $100, stupid in the extreme at least for me.
So if anyone has any suggestions about what might work better for me, please let me know. Until then, the old file has solved a massive problem for me.
