[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Problem with styles not changing once made active?

Hi

I love this plugin but at the moment when you click the thumbnail it open a [page with very basic << 1 >> type controls and no X to close, you have to click the image but this isn’t obvious at all.

I’ve gone in to ‘style’ and tried changing to other (not the default), it does show that each one I’ve change to is ‘active’ but they actually aren’t, there is no change to the style on the page?

Any advice here would be great I just need to change the styles I think, I presume this will change the appearance and options on the enlarged screen aswell (other style will have the X?).
