I have the following problem with my album structure in conjunction with permalinks:
I have a main album named “Gallery” (ID=1) for which I created a wordpress page with the
[album id=1 template=extend]tag. The remaining structure is only defined via NextGEN gallery. So I’ve created albums for each year e.g. “2008”, “2009” and “2010” which I drag into the “Gallery” album. normally inside this yearly albums I only create single galleries. So far so good: when I go to my “Gallery” page on the blog I will see the yearly albums and can navigate through them.
Now to the problem itself. If I now create an additional album for example inside the gallery “2010” (ID=4) for “Event A” (ID=5). Now I’m not able to navigate to “Event A”. I see all galleries inside the album and can navigate to them, I also see the album “Event A” but it is linked back to the “2010” album (
http://.../nggallery/page-xyz/album-4). If I deactivate permalinks in NextGEN gallery it works fine: (
Is this a bug in the permalink handling by NextGEN gallery?
