  • NextGen is looking for photos in

    But /wp-content/gallery/ does not exist
All of my photos are in /wp-content/uploads/yyyy/mm

In the wp administrator, when I go to Manage Gallery, none of the thumbnails show, for the same reason.
    Here’s an example problem page:

On a newer site I created I see that the photos are all in /wp-content/gallery/gallery-name, so I am guessing that this is a change that happened during a NextGen upgrade.

    Please help.
    Thank you!

  • Hi again,
Just another request for some help on this…

The photos in the /wp-content/uploads/yyyy/mm were probably uploaded using the WordPress Media Manager (or an earlier version of NGG that I am not familiar with). Most likely, you will have to re-upload the images into the correct Gallery through the NextGEN Gallery plugin.

If you don’t want to upload all of the images again, another strategy would be to create the Gallery (the one you want to use the images in, if you have not created it already) and then move the images into the “/gallery-name” directory. Once you have the images moved, use the command to scan that folder for images. The images should be successfully included in that Gallery.

I hope one of the above solutions works for you,

P.S. Please don’t bump your threads. It is inconsiderate and, more importantly, not in accordance with the forum rules.

Thank you for the suggestions–I’ll give the second one a try.
And thanks for saying something about bumping the thread–I didn’t realize, but it makes sense.
