[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Not able to use template galleries (cannot find gallery-sample 1) (5 posts)

I'm trying very hard to follow the instructions given at http://nextgen-gallery.com/templates/ however, when I do so, I cannot find php files such as gallery-sample1.php as listed here.

I have been trying to use the commands on my site, but all that occurs is me seeing the writing of the nextgen command, such as

    [ nggallery id=1 template=sample1 ]

    or [ nggallery id=2 template=carousel images=7 ]

The only command that works and not very good is [nggallery id=1] and this shows me a badly listed album of the photos and the option to view in slideshow and piclens.

Has anyone had any success with this measure or are they using third party plugins to this (such as image flow and image rotator) to show their galleries?

My gallery would require a template like template 1 because it holds 350 large sized picture and it has proved inefficient with full picture loading templates.

I'm having the same issue, can't find any of the advertised templates referenced here: http://nextgen-gallery.com/templates/

Do we need to create our own custom .php templates for this? If so, where is the documentation on how to do it?

The link to the Web Designer Wall makes no sense as that is a css thing, and I thought the "short codes" referenced php files?

Yes they are not there. Just working on recreating sample5. As soon as it is done I will put it one my site. Having some issues combining standard gallery.php thumbnail functionality with current Sample5 (rounded left corners) version. Also looking for a way to load css from theme folder instead of plugin. Saves me time during upgrades AND makes CSS paths easier..

If anyone is looking for an example to help them write their own gallery templates, I found a page with a short explanation on how to start your own template and CSS customization...
