[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] NGG: Next/Prev fade-in js buttons in built-in gallery view?

  • I am using the built-in album view and gallery view of NextGen Gallery 0.95. Thickbox.

    The issue:

The “< Prev Next >” links below the image shift one row up or down depending on the existence of a description text. They also wildly change position on the screen, when landscape and portrait images alternate. In these cases I find it a bit difficult to target that tiny little link that suddenly went somewhere else. This affects the feel of the gallery.

    The solution I would like:

When I place the mouse pointer on top of the image,
I want (javascript) prev/next buttons to fade in on top of the image,
    on left and right sides.

This did exist once in time. I downloaded something from somewhere, and it worked great.

Where can I find such a little enhancement?

ps. The polaroid plugin (that I never managed to install; I’m missing instructions) and the other flash plugins look cool, but I’m after a minimalistic solution.
