I think I have the same problem as johnclark00. My thumbnails don't appear on the Manage Gallery page, although they appear correctly on the site when I insert an album using the [nggallery] short code. And I also can't view the image from the Manage Gallery page.

The problem seems to be that on the Manage Gallery page, the spaces are being taken out of the path name to the thumbnail and to the image. For example, if the image is here:
    example.com/photos/2012/Family Reunion 01.jpg

The link from the Manage Gallery page becomes this:
    example.com/photos/2012/FamilyReunion01.jpg
    with the spaces missing.

I also am not using Contact Form 7, and am using the Atahualpa theme.

Have the same problem as rafou and rhonz10. I can display the galleries in an album (with the shortcode [album id=3 template=compact]) but I get nothing when I click on one of those galleries. Also, the previewpic for Album doesn't work. Any ideas?

Ok, I has understood the problem instead of a list of pictures and slideshows issued 404 error: in options (/wp-admin/options-permalink.php) my site was "/%postname%.php", changed it to "/%postname%" and it worked!!!

I'm using Altahualpa theme. WP version 3.4.1.
I can see my thumbnails and click on them to view the galleries.
    BUT...
When I try to upload images to one of my galleries, I get this message:
ERROR HTTP error. : HTTP Error.
Now, I can't upload any images to any of my galleries.
I was able to upload images into my galleries before upgrading to 3.4.1. Is there a fix yet?

few days after upgrading to 3.4.1, I having problem in uploading photos..

I've also updated the issue in the NextGen file: ngg-config.php
    to: require_once( WP_LOAD_PATH . 'wp-admin/admin.php');

but uploading problems still there, After uploading the message
    "0 picture(s) successfully added"!!

Tried to install the new NextGEN beta in .zip format in the Install Plugins Upload page and

got this message..."File is empty. Please upload something more substantial. This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini."

    appreciated anyone can help?

    @hinhuat,

Can you elaborate? I'm having the same problem on some of my galleries.
Thumbnails display well on the web site but not in the 'Manage gallery' screens.

I tried changing the file permission to 755 as suggested in other threads but that had no effect at all.

    Thanks,
    Jordl

@jordl, are you having the same problems as I? On the Manage Gallery page, right-click on a thumbnail, copy the link address, & paste into a text editor. Are all the blanks stripped out of the URL? If you add the blanks back in manually, you can get to the image, right?
I haven't found a solution, but just a symptom: Something is stripping out the blanks from the image & thumbnail URLs on the Manage Gallery page. I don't think it's NextGen's problem, because I haven't upgraded it in a while. Is the new WP version not doing blank substitution on path names correctly?

I was also having the issue where my galleries weren't displaying lightboxes when the thumbs were clicked, but instead just opening the image in a static page.
I realized that when I upgraded WP, some of my settings for the Lightbox plugin must have been reset - specifically under "Primary Lightbox - Slideshow Settings", the first box "Slideshow" was unchecked, and when I checked it, the slideshows are working again! So if you're having similar problems with the slideshow, maybe first try double checking your settings for LBP, and see if that helps. ♥

Add me to the list of none working NextGen Gallery installs on multi-site WP 3.4.1. I've reinstalled it three times and I still get the error: Undefined index: wpmuStyle in /home/content/00/5602200/html/mericardo/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/admin/admin.php on line 473. Since I'm new to WP (I usually code my sites using either PHP or Perl and MySQL) and have never used NextGen Gallery before, I was looking forward to the time saving features and some of the great looks. I think I'll uninstall NextGen until I read about a fix. Anybody have any suggestions for a comparable gallery plugin? Thanks in advance.

I can't get albums to display after upgrading to 3.4.1. I can see the thumbnails on the home page by using shortcode [album id=1 template=compact]. When I click on a thumbnail, the link location is (for example) http://warrenmacmillan.com/?album=1&gallery=1&page_id=3. However, I don't have a page id for any of the albums so I don't know why it's adding "page_id=3" to the URL. It also adds the same page (3) to all the URLs for the albums.

But even if I manually edit the URL to http://warrenmacmillan.com/?album=1&gallery=1 , I still can't see the album, I just get "Nothing found".

    I'm using the TwentyEleven theme.

Depending on what lightbox effect you're using for Nextgen, update your prettyPhoto: http://www.no-margin-for-errors.com/projects/prettyphoto-jquery-lightbox-clone/

With this newest version of Nextgen + PrettyPhoto + WP 3.4.1 all works fine at me.

@rickiwylder, rafou and rhonz10. I had this same issue after upgrading and was able to resolve the issue simply by going into the gallery and saving it again, and then going to the page with the album shortcode and then saving again.

I think it has to do with how WP stores permalinks in the database and so by resaving it updates the paths to be the proper ones using the slug set in wp-admin/admin.php?page=nggallery-options

    Hi folks
I am experiencing problems with new uploads from visitors, although they can be seen in the gallery they no longer appear on the gallery post, so folks are uploading the pony pics but are then unable to see them displayed on the website, I tried saving the image and then adding them myself but not only is time consuming ,it saves the pics with the smallest amount of pixels which results in a tiny thumbnail...have researched this for weeks to no avail, I am using the theme DKRET 4.7.1, have tried uninstalling some plugins - if I uninstall next gen will I lose all the photos? and WP 3.4.2
    kindest regards

I want to code one PHP script which allows me to generate thumbs of given images with specified dimensions and names as per Next-Gen Gallery Plugin of WordPress.

I have website for cover pages: http://facebook4free.com/

    Thumb Gallery Page: http://facebook4free.com/category/facebook-cover-pages/abstract-facebook-cover-pages-facebook-cover-pages/

    Main Image Page: http://facebook4free.com/abstract-cover-pages-for-facebook-profile-2/facebook-images/image/1-cover-photo-82140/

Issue is timeout when I upload images in wordpress plugin. It uploads images in create their thumbs but when I upload more than 10 images it fails. So I want to separately create PHP script which create thumbnails of my FB cover pages with given dimensions and specified name (a pattern).
Many of the images are in .jpg, .png formats but all are having dimensions of 851x315.
    Any help would be appreciated.
