[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Next Gen Gallery Activation problem

I am trying to install this gallery on my site but whenever i come to activate the plugin i am getting the following error:

Error 500 – Internal server error

An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later.

Any ideas??
