  • Is your WordPress and nggallery up to date ?

Can you provide a url so we can see what you’re talking about ?

It should work. Check that there are 3 shortcodes on your page – maybe try viewing it in TEXT/HTML mode.

If not, you can always copy/paste the one that is there and change the album id and template.

Or, under Gallery –> Albums you can create a new album and drag/drop your existing 3 albums into it, save it, then insert the new ablum into your page.

Sorry that I get involved, but where can I find the shortcodes of the album(s)???

Or how can you insert the new created album into the page??? has a selection of many/most shortcodes. Other than that a search on Google may find others.

There’s three ways to put a gallery on a page/post.

    (1) Simplist – Edit the page/post and type or paste the shortcode onto it.
    (2) Edit the post/page you wish to insert the gallery onto, select the “Visual” tab then click on the ‘Add NextGEN Gallery’ icon (it looks like two screens on top of each other, usually the right hand icon).
That’ll pop up a menu to enable selection of the gallery and style you want.
    (3) Under Gallery -> Manage Gallery, select a gallery and on the right you’ll see “Create new page” – if you use “Add Page” it’ll create a new page and put the album shortcode on it.

Cheers I’ve found the shortcodes and the way to get the albums on my page.

But is it also possible to get the album-icons in columns of 3 next to each other???
    (sorry for all those questions)

In the galley options you can set how many columns you like. The default is 0 which is as many as will fit across the page.

Okay this is only possible for the gallery/images.
And isn’t possible if you want to have albums on your page

If necessary you can also control the Album and Gallery number of columns by changing the css.

    Maybe this will be useful.

You can set the number of columns for an individual galley page/post by using the WordPress Custom Fields function and the NextGEN ngg_gal_Columns parameter.

For example, to have 3 columns you’d edit the gallery page.
    Clck “Add Custom Field”
    Click “Enter New”
In the Name field enter ngg_gal_Columns
In the Value field Value= 3
Then click “Update” to publish to update the page.

Thanks but didn’t do exactly the trick for me..

No prob, you’ll just need to use css to control the columns.
