[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] import images & meta from iPhoto?

Would this be possible? I’m thinking similar to the Gallery2 plugin for iPhoto, where not only the images from a Mac’s iPhoto, but also the meta data like description & caption are imported directly into the database.

Same idea for NextGEN. Is there a method by which this could be done?
