[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] I cannot create new gallery

When I try to create new gallery, I get following message :
Unable to create directory wp-content/gallery/XYZ!
Directory wp-content/gallery/XYZ is not writeable !
Unable to create directory wp-content/gallery/XYZ/thumbs !
Any suggestions?
