[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] HTTP Error 401 with Flash Uploader

    Hi All,

    I am trying to use the flash batch uploader in NextGen Gallery Version 1.7.4 without success. With each attempt I am getting error messages in the pop-up progress dialog box which are of the form:

    ERROR HTTP ERROR : file1.jpg : 401
    ERROR HTTP ERROR : file2.jpg : 401
    ERROR HTTP ERROR : file3.jpg : 401
    etc….

    I am able successfully use WordPress’ “built-in” flash uploader.

    I’ve read a number of posts in the WP forums and elsewhere on the web suggesting (various) additions to .htaccess files as the solution. I have tried most or all of those .htaccess modifications and none of them have worked for me. Perhaps those mods are no longer valid?

    Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

    Please give some solution. I am also facing the same. I searched the net but could not find solution anywhere. Why nobody replying. Only questions are there but no answers.

    Anyone found a solution for this please? I use this gallery on a bunch of sites… will be sad to hear if its not working with new versions of WP.

    Ditto, same problem. Pretty annoying there is no obvious solution.
