[Resolved] [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] How to use some of the Gallery Settings

  • When setting up or managing a Gallery there are 2 options that are not very clear to me and I have not been able to find any information on how they are used.
1: How is the “Page Link To:” field used in an application?
2: How is the “Create New Page:” field used in an application since you are working in a page when you are presented the field?

Thanks for any help you can provide as these are just not intuitive to me.

  • 1.) there are two options how the album page can work :

    a) If you show a album with a couple of galleries and click on a gallery, then the gallery will be opened at the same page/post

    b) If you show a album with a couple of galleries and click on a gallery, then the “Page Link To:” will link to seperate page, where you can as well show the gallery or imagebrowser or slideshow.

You can switch between the two options in the gallery->option->”Deactivate gallery page link”

2.) This option will create a new page with the shortcode [nggallery id=x]. That’S all

Thank You Alex. They now make sense to me.
