# [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Gallery thumbnail image

 * I have begun adding images to the gallery on my site:
    [http://www.trekkchina.com](http://www.trekkchina.com)
 * But the gallery (in this case Guilin) has a dead image thumbnail next to the 
   gallery name. How do I activate it so I get an image there?

 * Sometimes thumbnails are not created because of lack of memory.
 * Make sure that all the thumbnails were created for the gallery. Go to Admin->
   Gallery->Manage Gallery and click on the gallery name.
 * Put a check-mark next to any thumbnails that need to be generated. Select ‘Create
   new thumbnails’ from the dropdown over the list of thumbnails and click ‘Apply’.
   Repeat as necessary until all thumbnails have been created.
