Support » Plugin: NextGEN Gallery - WordPress Gallery Plugin » [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Gallery not reading geocoded exif data

  • Hello, I have the latest version of nextGEN and I’m trying to use it with the XML Google maps plugin. The pictures I’ve uploaded are verified to have GPS data in the EXIF but for some reason in the gallery when I click on metadata it doesn’t show this. This also means the google maps gallery doesn’t work. Is there a way I can force nextGEN to read the GPS exif stuff?

    Thanks.

  • Finally there is someone with the same problem that I have!
Would love to find a reason for this! I’ll try to contact the author of the XML GM plugin. Maybe he has a clue! If I get an answer, I’ll post it here!

    Regards!

Okay, it’s working for me now! It’ wasn’t a big deal actually….
First I deactivated the plugin XML GM in the plugin section. Then I deleted the file directory via FTP. After downloading the plugin from the WP site and uploading it manually, I activated it on the plugin panel again.
After testing it with the shortcode [XMLGM ngg_gallery=GalleryID], it showd me the map including the pictures!

    Hope this helps ….
