  • There seems to be a bug when placing an album on a static front page and having mod_rewrite enabled:

The links to the galleries look like “http://…/?page_id=364/nggallery/album/allgemein”.

When clicking on it, WordPress redirects me back to the front page itself.

Is there any solution to get this working?

  • sorry I can’t help as I’m having a similar problem. An ngg album on my static homepage looks for the gallery on the first post page(which is unused as the site is not a blog as such, rather a series of static pages) instead of the gallery page. The album works as expected when placed on any other page.

Perhaps someone else has experienced similar problems & found a fix although I’ve done a fair bit of searching

Check that the ‘Page Link to:’ setting for the gallery is what you’d expect it to be. Thats the only place I’ve encountered linking/redirection issues.

Did anybody find a fix for this?

    Hello
for the life of me I can’t remember what i did to fix this at the time but I now use a very good bit of coding which I found at http://www.bentedder.com/nextgen-gallery-load-lightbox-gallery-from-one-image/ which is great to use with nggallery. It enables use of multiple galleries loading from one thumbnail without the pageload problems of other methods which use hidden divs for the thumbs
