[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Gallery link behaviour

Hi. I can’t seem to grasp the linking behaviour of the gallery.
For example:

If I show a gallery by calling a custom field, I get the thumbnails (as that is my setting).

If I press a thumbnail the image shows in it’s own window.

Then if I limit the number of images shown – the pagination will show.
SO clicking the shown image will still show image in own window,
BUT, clicking pagination links will take me to post.

I would so like the first thumbnail (and show only one) to take me to post, and of course without any pagination.

And oddly, if I enable Imagebrowser instead of effect, the thumbnail now works as hoped…

Any insights?
