[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Fullsize Recent Image

  • I was trying to use the sidebar widget in a page. I was successful in putting the php for displaying the recent image into the page. However, the code resizes the thumbnail and the image shows up pixelated.

I don’t want to alter the thumbnail size of the gallery images and I was wondering if there is a way to show the recent image fullsized without it altering the thumbnail size of all the thumbnails.

I hope what I’m saying is clear? My hopes is to have sort of like a “Picture of the Day” on the front page of the site. Please let me know if that is possible using the sidebar widget code or if there is something else I should use.

  • Ok… A lightbulb went off and I remember when I was looking through nggwidget.php I saw a bit of code that read show=>’thumbnail’
I just changed thumbnail to original.

My next move would be to remove the link to the fullsize image without it affecting anything else. I may want to use Random Images in my sidebar (I don’t know yet) and I don’t want those links affected. I will continue to tear apart this file to see if this is possible.

Ok. I should have known I’d figure it out… although I didn’t want it to take so long. And it really should not have taken that long but watching tv was a factor.

Anyway… I just changed type to type2 for recent
