[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] flash uploader stopped working, thumbs not generated

    Hi Alex,

    I’m running WP 3.2.1 (network enabled) and NGG 1.8.3. My local environment is OS X 10.6.8, running Safari 5.1 and Google Chrome 6.0.2. My Flash version is whatever the latest as of today is, I just reinstalled it in an effort to remedy this problem.

    I’m trying to upload files which are 2592×1936 (standard iPhone 4 dimensions).

    I’ve created the gallery and when I go to add images via the Flash uploader it lets me select the files, but when I hit ‘OK’ the window goes away and nothing happens. I was expecting to see the file names listed just above the gallery select element as normal but nothing changed.

    Disabling the Flash uploader allows me to select an image at a time but after I hit ‘Upload Images’ it looks like it’s doing something before just showing me the same page again but as if I’d never selected any images.

    If I upload the images directly into the directory I can scan the directory for new images and they appear in the Manage Gallery section, but for some reason when I tell it to generate new thumbnails it won’t do it and just gives me broken image icons.

    A bit off topic but one other bug I’ve noticed is that on certain NGG pages the javascript navigation (collapsed) stops working on the left hand side, I’ve seen this on more than one of my sites.

    All of this happens in both Safari and Chrome.

    Thanks in advance for looking into this. If there’s any additional info such as logs and things you might need just let me know and I’ll post them.

    I should mention that everything was working as expected previously and I’m sure there hasn’t been any upgrades in the meantime.

    I just realised that the Chrome version I put in the first post said 6.0.2 when it’s actually 14.0.8. I’d mixed it up with my Firefox version and I now can’t edit the post.
