Support » Plugins and Hacks » [Plugin: Nextgen-Gallery] Fail to generate thumbnails or resize image

  • Hello: Thank you for this fantastic plug in. I have a problem however…

Whenever I try to resize an image or generate a thumbnail in Manage Gallery it fails and I get this message:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 48234496) (tried to allocate 11264 bytes) in/mnt/w0900/d29/s30/b02f943d/www/powerclubtoronto.com/powerclub/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/lib/gd.thumbnail.inc.php on line 176

Also, images do not resize on import despite being set up to do so. Also, thumbnails are not generated on import either.

I am running PHP5, have the latest NextGen update installed, am running WordPress 2.9.2 and am hosted with Netfirms.

    Can you help?

    thanks

  • Hi,

I also have the memory problem when trying to resize, but I’ve noticed it only occurs when trying to upload pictures in portrait format, but not in landscape format.

I also have WordPress 2.9.2, the latest Nextgen version and PHP5.

    Thanks
