Well I have figured out that it has something to do with linking the image gallery inside a page because when I put up a test post and linked the gallery in it, the thickbox effect started working. would love if anyone would pitch any ideas in
Alright well I figured it out finally! This is for some people that might have this problem in the future. My problem was not having the <?php wp_footer(); ?> being called in the footer.php
What a great site…. I wondered whether you were useing WP 2.8.4 and Nextgen gallery 1.3.5 as I have installed both and unable to adjust the thumbnails using the thumbnail edit facility in Gallery. I just get the error Error editing thumbnail…. I’ve tried posting on here a few times but no response…. it was all working in the 2.8.3 (I think) and previous Nextgen-gallery.
NextGEN (thickbox) was working until I upgraded to WP 2.8.4. I did as prescribed above–added the <?php wp_footer(); ?> snippet to my footer.php but gallery thumbnails are still displaying without effects–no rollover effects, thickbox doesn’t activate when the thumbnails are clicked (it simply opens the large image on the page).
When I view source of the page, there’s no thickbox javascript or css related files/code.
Any ideas?
I need some assistance on NextGen and effects as well. I completely baffled that the effects don’t work.
