On the WP theme I am using, apparently the way to get the Gallery images to show up on the photos page, you have to paste [nggallery id=1] into the page. Not sure if this is the usual way, but this is the only way that works. Not sure if this contributes to the problems I am about to describe.
When I look at the Photos page, the thumbnails that show up are the original thumbnails automatically made by Nextgen, ignoring the Edit Thumb changes which I made.
Meanwhile, on the Manage Gallery control page, the thumbnails shown are perfect, ie, the areas I chose, but these do not carry over to the Photos page.
I did not change the default size of the Thumbs, only the portion of the pictures covered by the thumb.
Maybe a related problem is that I have to Edit the Thumbs sometimes several times before the changes take effect.
I am using Firefox if this makes any difference.
Appreciate a fix.
Also, how do you change the default size of the thumbs without distorting the images and degrading the quality. The checkbox as to ignoring aspect ratio doesn’t seem to matter. The images get distorted/degraded regardless of the checkbox, when I try to vary the dimensions of the thumbnails from the default.
Thanks for your assistance.
