# [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Dismiss box issue

 * The announcement box that tells Photocrati has acquired NextGen is in the upperight
   hand corner and cannot be closed. Site is very slow. WHen I deactivate the NextGen
   plugin, everything works as expected. Gallery functions on the public side when
   plugin is active. Can’t see a performance issue on the public side. Just on the
   admin.

 * I’ve disabled all plugins except NextGen.
 * I’ve deleted then re-installed the NextGen plugin.
 * I’ve rerun the WordPress auto-updater.
 * Issue still won’t go away.
