# [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Description // Alt Text HELP …???

 * Okay — call me an idiot, but I’m not a programmer. This is an amazing plug-in
   that I’ve installed and configured and worked with now for hours. In general 
   I get it…
 * BUT — when I present a gallery posted to a page using [gallery=ID#] I can’t get
   it to include the description and/or the alt text. I’ve tried to use custom fields
   on the page as follows:
 * Custom Field Name:
    ngg_gal_showdescription Value: desc
 * No go … I tried the same above with Value: alttxt …
 * No go …
 * There must be a way with short codes or someway to be able to include selected
   metadata in the gallery presentation.
 * I want to be able to have the alttxt and/or the description presented under each
   of the thumbnails….
 * PLEASE help. This is driving me bonkers.

 * I have the same problem, and i DID use the template=caption.
 * I’ve got a rock, no description or alt text shows
 * What did I miss?
