  • HI

I’m using the nextgen gallery in my blog. I’m having problems when deleting images.

For example if I upload 5 images then delete them all and upload 1 image, the original 5 images I first uploaded now reappear which is incredibly frustrating as i’ve no idea what to do to stop this happening.

If anyone can help it would be most appreciated.

  • I’m having this issue too and it seems to be a bug. Have you had any luck fixing this problem?

I created a gallery of company logos. One of the companies has gone out of business, so I need to delete that logo image. I have deleted it from my media list and image from the gallery, but it is still appearing.

    Can anyone help with this?

Check the “Delete image files” checkbox under Options > General Options.

While this option gives the impression that it only deletes image files when removing an entire gallery, this also affects deleting image files within a gallery. Otherwise NGG will find the image you thought was deleted and re-add it to the gallery.

    This worked. Thanks!

Maybe I’m missing something but I don’t really see the logic behind this. At what point would you want all your deleted photos to show up every time you upload a new image? It seems like a bug to me.

Hi there, I am having this same problem, and with hundreds of files re-adding themselves it’s really frustrating. I applied the fix some months ago and it worked. Today I added more photos and once again, several hundred previously deleted photos re-added themselves. The “Delete images” box is still ticked. I’m guessing there has been an update in between last time I added images and now that has caused the problem to recur. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

    Thanks 🙂
