  • I manage a blog of 20 photographers that uses NextGEN. It’s great because each contributing photographer gets their own gallery to manage.

Over the past year, we’ve had a few members drop out and have added new members. I’m now facing a dilemma. How do I combine the galleries of the photogs who have left into one archive gallery? I don’t want to mess up their archived posts.

When someone leaves, we delete their user account and migrate all their posts into an archive user account. If you go to the NextGEN manage gallery link, there is a list of all the current and past member’s galleries. I’m not sure how to do this without messing everything up.

Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Wanted to post a follow up to my post. I figured it out and figured this may help someone else out in the future.

I created a new gallery, which I called an archive gallery. From there, it was a simple matter to open the gallery of the person who was no longer a member, selecting all their images and “moving” them into the new archive gallery.

Nice to see a plugin so well designed! THAT was an easy solution!
