for the first, please excuse my bad English.
I’ve a young self-hosting wordpress-blog about my hobby eBook-Reader.
On yesterday I’ve changed on a child theme, because I’ve read, it is better to do it. The original-theme is “Sports Red”.
I’ve also read, that I must create a folder named “nggallery” in this child theme. I’ve done it and copy the following files in this file folder:
“nggallery.css”, “gallery-caption.php” and “singlepic-caption.php”.
The name of the nextgen-gallery in the plugin-folder is: “nextgen-gallery” – not “nggallery”. I’ve installed this plugin with the wordpress-backend.
For a few days I’ve done the changes direct in the plugin-folder, but in the meantime I know this is not good. So I should use the child theme for this.
But there is the problem.
If I undo the changes in the “nextgen-gallery”-plugin-directory the changes I’ve maked are lost.
The files “nggallery.css”, “gallery-caption.php” and “singlepic-caption.php” in my child theme get not included. In this files the changes I’ve done still exist, but they are not displayed.
Then I’ve changed the name of the folder “nggallery” in my child theme in the name “nextgen-gallery”, but the problem is the same.
Where is the mistake?
What can I do, that wordpress use the files “nggallery.css”, “gallery-caption.php” and “singlepic-caption.php” of my child theme in the subdirectory “nggallery”?
