I have been using Next Gen Gallery without problems since almost three years. Since 1 week, I got problem for adding new pictures. Upload is ok, but when it comes to create Thumbnails. * This is the message I can read **************************************** 1 picture( s) successfully added [Edit gallery] * ID 3556: A failure occurred [more] * Warning: imagecreatefromjpeg() [function.imagecreatefromjpeg]: ‘/home/www/www. xxx.fr/htdocs/wp-content/gallery/cover-style/XXXX.jpg’ is not a valid JPEG file in /home/www/www.xxx.fr/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/lib/gd.thumbnail. inc.php on line 180 xxx.jpg (Error : Create Image failed. Check memory limit) * **************************************** I try to change the @ini_set(‘memory_limit’,’ 128M’); to ‘256M’ but this change didn’t work… * So I downgrade for 1.8.4, but didn’t work… but still didn’t work. * I try to upload .Jpg without any plugins activate, still didn’t work. * I just saw that I can upload small pics (128 X 128, 10Ko) without problems. I’m so piss off ! Do you have automatic database backups? If you have, maybe you could use those to restore what went before. But It is still impossible to upload photos (or rather an error occurs in creating thumbnails). The software was so reliable for such a long time and then suddenly, some time in December 2011, it broke down. Now either it is a local problem and in which case we can do something about it individually, or else it is a wider problem, but then in that case loads of people must have the problem. Judging from the lack of response here, that doesn’t seem to be the case. If you have suggestions PLEASE let us know. Thanks. Alan.
