 * I’d like to put NextGEN slideshow directly in the theme so I need OPHP call for
   it. Other calls (for single photo, random photo… ) might be great as well. I’d
   rather skip using widget because I am making custom, single-use theme.

 * I’d like to include just a compact view of a gallery in my sidebar. The sidebar
   does not recognize widgets, so I need the PHP please. Your link above has several
   cool things, but nothing for just the plain gallery. Thanks!
